The Bali Vegan Festival is pleased to announce that Kip Andersen, co-creator of the life-changing documentary ‘Cowspiracy‘ will be joining the lineup of speakers this year.

Kip will be joining a number of inspiring speakers from around the world who are passionate about animal rights, healthy lifestyles and saving the planet. Intrepid filmmaker Kip will discuss new documentary ‘What the Health‘ which will also be screened during the festival. Joining him will be veteran raw vegan runners Alan Murray and Janette Murray-Wakelin, who together ran around Australia (15,782km in 366 consecutive days) on a raw vegan diet to raise awareness for a sustainable future and conscious lifestyle choices.

Representatives from the Humane Society International as well as the Indonesian Vegetarian Society and BAWA (Bali Animal Welfare Association) will take to the stage, plus renowned speaker James Aspey, for a talk on ‘How to be an Effective Activist’. Many more speakers and entertainment is yet to be announced.

As well as talks, the weekend will play host to scores of others activities including raw vegan dessert workshops, cooking classes, yoga and meditation, live music, healing sessions, movie screenings and a host of children’s activities.

The three-day festival will take place across two venues in Ubud: Paradiso, Bali’s unique cultural center and the world’s first organic vegan cinema; and Taksu Garden Spa, located just 50 meters away.

The Bali Vegan Festival will feature a dazzling array of food and drinks from local restaurants in Ubud, and further afield in Seminyak and Canggu. Entry to the main part of the festival is free, with talks, workshops and classes all made as accessible as possible for all the community to enjoy.

Established by Down To Earth Bali in 2015, the Bali Vegan Festival has been growing in size and scope each year and 2017 promises a huge range of activities and entertainment for vegans and omnivores alike.

The festival will take place from October 6th-8th.
